I have read somewhere along the way that sin is defined as being off the mark. The mark being the teachings of JESUS. In other words being out of sync with the golden rule of LOVE and all its tenets. We are all in and out of harmony with the Divine all day long. None of us looks through the lens of unconditional love 24/7. We act, react, and think in ways that do not reflect peace and harmony. Irritations, anger, judgements, are just the tip of the iceberg. And through it all we miss out on our connection to God and one another, all made in the image if God. Accounts of NDEs are inspirational. People report experiencing the unconditional love of God so intensely, that they can not find the words to truly express it. Their filters and distractions of being in a body are gone, thus allowing the love to pour in. Ŵe are so often not present in the moment; our minds are ruminating on the past or thinking about the future. When we connect to the love, beauty, nature, miracles all around us we are on the mark. All sin is mad and yet our fears of survival and all its offshoots are so numerous that they tend to consume us. We go in and out of surrender to God and the going out is our sin, becaùse during those moments we are not in harmony with God. I think becoming more aware of out words, thoughts, actions and reactions during the day will help us to realign on the mark, rather than align with the madness of sin. It is infinitely more rewarding & fun!
